The curtain is made from a combination of extruded aluminium horizontal slats and thick acrylic panes which give a high degree of clarity. The horizontal slats are connected by joiner bars to give increasing strength over wider openings. The joiner bars retain the acrylic panes. A robust extruded aluminium bottom rail is fitted with a rear cover plate designed to house a key-operated two-way lock. If required a weatherseal can also be fitted to the bottom rail. Exclusive Austral-Monsoon channel guides are made from extruded aluminium with a PVC buffer inserted to eliminate metal to metal contact and reduce noise. Operation is by hand, chain or electric.
