The Austral-Monsoon "Guardian" roller shutter has been designed to deter burglary and vandalism. The designs offers ease of operation by utilising a counter-balance spring and heavy aluminium bottom rail for comfortable use by all staff. Installation is simplified by using a single-section prefabricated guid bracket system. The Austral Monsoon 'Guardian' require very little headroom. Specal features include the 'lock-in' side guides which physically prevent the shutter curtain being forced out of the guides. heavy duty shoot bolts allow padlocking on either side of outside. Operation by hand only.
Applications
Typical areas of application are school canteens, kiosks, changerooms, groundsmen's sheds. soil sheds and other sites which because of their secluded nature, are an obvious target for mischief makers.
Specifications
Bottom rail:
Shall be extruded aluminium section fitted with shootbolts. or alternatively a two-way locking system.
Brackets:
Fabricated from mild steel with suitable bosses to receive the roller drum axle.
Side Guides:
Shall be specially formed from 75mm x 40mm x 2mm thic galvanised steel. The guids will lock special GUARDIAN lugs attached to the curtain.
Roller Drum:
Shall consist of a steel tube encasing helical springs of super grade springwire revolving on steel axle.
Curtain:
Assembled with interlocking slats 50 x 0.4 or 50 x 0.6 roll formed from galvabond. Nylon end clips are fitted on every second slat and GUARDIAN locking lugs shall be fitted to teh end of a suitable number of slats to secure the curtain into guides.
