Assembled from roll-formed galvanised interlocking slats with extruded aluminium bottom rail designed to take up a minimum amount of space in small openings. End clips are fitted to every second slat to secure slats laterally and take up wear. Internal or external shoot bolt accepts padlock. Key operated two-point two-way centre lock available fitted to bottom rail or at waist height. Hand operation is spring assisted or for sizes larger than 1,500mm x 2,500mm by direct drive hand chain (lockable).
Applications
These shutters are used extensively for openings requiring a robust steel shutter.

Finishes
Galvanised steel, polyuretheane paint or powdercoaing in a choice of colours.
Note: Powdercoating is the recommended finish for perforated slats.

Specifications
Slat:
50mm, 76mm or 100mm roll-formed, interlocking galvanised steel.
Bottom Rail:
Extruded aluminium section fitted with optional PVC seal (see diagram) or fabricated from 50mm x 50mm x 6mm mild steel angle, securely riveted to bottom seal (PVC weather seal available as extra)
Side Guide (Track):
50mm or 70mm x 38mm x 3mm mild steel channel with suitable provision for fixing.
Roller Drum:
100 to 155 dia. steel tube designed to give miniumum deflection over the span, for hand operation, encasing helical coil spring of super grade spring wire. Tension adjustable by capstan wheel where possible.
Brackets:
Fabricated from mild steel to suit application.
Locking:
Lockable chain fastener standard. Shootbolt to accept padlock fitted internally or externally, or key operated two-way, two-point centre lock, fitted to bottom rail or at waist height.
