Applications

The E81 aluminium roller shutter is an access door for light duty security or storage application. It is typically used for shop fronts, shopping malls, serving counters, general storage rooms, equipment and plant rooms, school storage, cabinets and product displays.

Features

1. Curtain - Constructed using 25mm interlocking extruded aluminium slats. The slats are retained in position using nylon and clips fitted with nylon rivets. For more information, refer to technical information detail below.
2. Bottom Rail - Rigid extruded aluminium section complete with finger pull. A bottom seal can be provided as an optional extra. For more information, refer to technical information detail below.
3. Side Guides (Track) - Rigid extruded aluminium section completed with splayed tops. Side guides size is 25 x 16 x 2.5mm. Where required or specified the side guides are bolted to fixing angles or posts of size and thickness to suit the shutter and application. 4. Roller Drum - Roller Drum Fabricated from mild steel or galvanised tube, with the outside diameter and thickness appropriate to the size and application of the aluminium roller shutter.
5. Bracket Plates - Fabricated from 3 mm galvanised steel in sizes to suit the height of the opening and engineered tube size.
6. Operation - Generally hand operated. However, appropriate tube motors can be fitted. Tube motors are 240 V and can be activated through a variety of control devices to suit application or your preference. Tube motors require single phase, 10 amp, 3-pin plug socket within 1 metre of each door opening.
7. Door Locking - Two-way 2 - point key operated lock fitted to bottom rail. Locking is not recommended for electrically operated aluminium roller shutters.
8. Finishes - Aluminium components are supplied in mill finish as standard. Etch and clear anodising or powder coating (in standard available colours) is an optional extra, and is applied using our in house powder coat line at Ansa Doors. All mild steel items are provided with zinc rich primer paint hand applied.
9. Hoods / Fascias - Available as optional extras to suit the application. Hoods are manufactured in house from 0.5 mm galvanised steel sheet. Fascias are fabricated using 25 x 16 x 2.5 mm aluminium channel for the perimeter frame and interlocking aluminium extruded slats as an infill panel.
10. Ventilation - As an optional extra, slats can be provided with louvered slots to provide ventilation through the curtain. FOr more information, refer to technical information detail below.
